Tree of Life

A key part of AYA’s therapeutic and relational practice is the Tree of Life methodology.

Tree of Life helps young people explore:

  • their strengths and abilities
  • their family, relationships and roots
  • the challenges they have faced
  • their hopes, dreams and future aspirations

This work supports emotional reflection, resilience, identity, self-expression and a stronger sense of self.

The Tree of Life Methodology™

  • Rooted in Strength.
  • Growing in Wisdom.
  • Flourishing in Purpose.

At AYA, we believe a young person’s story should be understood through more than difficulty or diagnosis.

The Tree of Life Methodology™ helps us recognise identity, strengths, relationships, hopes and achievement — creating a framework through which young people can understand where they come from, recognise what they carry within them and begin to imagine what may be possible.

It reflects our belief that every young person can grow when they are rooted in belonging, supported by safe relationships and encouraged towards purpose.
